How to pick the right size in bamboo

How to pick the right size in bamboo

The question I get more than any other is the simplest one: what size should I
order? With most fabrics the answer is whatever matches your little one's age.
With bamboo it isn't — and that's good news, because it means each set lasts
you months longer.

Bamboo behaves differently to cotton

Our knit has four-way stretch. A rigid cotton romper fits for exactly as long
as your child's measurements sit inside the label. A bamboo one keeps going
well past that point, moving with a crawl, a climb, and a growth spurt you
didn't see coming.

That's why our sizes are cut relaxed on purpose. A slightly roomy set on a
newborn becomes a perfect fit at four months and is still wearable at seven.

If your little one is between sizes, tall for their age, or in cloth
nappies — size up. You'll get several more months of wear and they'll never
feel the difference.

Three things worth checking first

  1. Height before age. Length runs out before width does. A tall two-year-old is usually happier in a 3T.
  2. Nappy bulk. Cloth nappies add real volume through the hips. Size up and the bottoms sit properly.
  3. Where they are in the bracket. Close to the top of an age range? Take the next size and skip the awkward six weeks.

When not to size up

One exception: a newborn who arrived early or is petite. In those first weeks a
snugger fit is easier to change and feels more secure, so stay true to size and
enjoy knowing the next size up is already waiting.

rather help you get it right than process a return.
